                Virgil and Dolores Bunjer, retired missionaries from Germany and living in Ankeny, IA, helping minister to senior missionaries for Baptist Mid-Missions.  The house in Ottumwa has sold! Papers are signed. The Bunjersrejoice! Also, praise the Lord that the retinologist gave Dolores a good report. Damage to her retina has been arrested and her vision is greatly improved. Do pray for the German Christians because Christmas is one of their best times for outreach in the towns around them.

                Joan Nichols, living in Ankeny, formerly serving in Latin America. Her Christmas letter reviews her year. She is thankful that both of her daughters recovered from their heart attacks. She continues to be active in her local Church. Pray for her cancer follow-up testing in Jan. There is no reason to expect anything but the very best report, but she appreciates our prayers on her behalf.

                Bonnie Abbas, now staying with her sister in IA following a stroke – She is making the adjustment to being in the States after 50+ years of her life living in Chile. There are major problems with her having a health plan. Besides recovering from her stroke, she has some physical needs the next few months that need attention (dental and skin cancer). Pray for her beloved Chilean friends. The Bible study group and the Quilpue Church especially need us to pray for them.
Missionaries We Support Financially and with Prayer 
                Norman and Susan Smith family serving in Japan, seeking to build bridges to individuals and establish Churches–  www.smithlife.net    1160-13 Kyokushi-fumoto, Kikuchi, Kumamoto-ken 869-1202 JAPAN  The men that Norman has been meeting with are showing responsive attitudes. Pray for Masa who has not been attending Bible Study – his work schedule is conflicting. New contacts are two fathers, married to Japanese women; both want to live for the Lord. Praise the Lord that Keiko still desires to help with the ministry. She has a job at the University Hospital.  Pray for the plans for GRIT next summer. Pray that 12 participants will want to experience Japanese culture and have their eyes opened to the need for the Gospel there. Plans continue for  starting a ministry in Kikuchi. The store front inKikuchi City is rented. Many plans are underway to make much use of it after January. Work on making it even more usable as an outreach center begins Jan. 10.

                Mike and Peggy Carr, Missionary Builders with CBM, now at the Cantonment, FL project. From the time frame given in their recent letter, by now the walls should be poured, and the building should be moving ahead after the long wait for permits. Pray for Joe and Henry, the plumbers. Several others need salvation and are mentioned by name in the Carr’s letter. Pray that their support will stay on 90%. It floats up and down in the 80’s.
            Dan and Peggy Whitcher, Church Planting and Development Cordinator, Baptist Mid-Missions. Follow them: www.danandpeggy.com   The trip to Mexico was very encouraging. New Churches are being planted and the Peniel Baptist Church(Whitcher’s last ministry in Mexico) is growing and moving forward! The Whitchers most recently were in Memphis, TN, with the Spanish-speaking ministry there. It was an anniversary celebration for the mission Church. The Whitchers are planning a short time of furlough. They will report to some of their Churches and plan what probably will be their last term of full-time missionary service. They appreciate our financial support and prayers all these years!

                Ron and Kathleen Weber —  reporting to their Churches and then starting a “retiring” short-term missions ministry, after starting 11 strong Churches with ABWE in Brazil  Ron’s hand is responding to therapy. The Webers will be able to go to Brazil in March to renew Ron’s visa and speak in the Churches they have started. Pray for daughter, Esther and husband and their little daughter as they head to Guatamala Jan. 5th for their first term as missionaries. James is working at a job for adults 21 and over with disabilities. He likes the paycheck! Pray that if it is the Lord’s will, finances will be such that he can live and work at Shepherd’s Home.

Pray for the children their Church is reaching – for example Christmas program = 100 children and only 2 workers. Pray for their co-workers who took a short, unexpected trip to U.S. Mr. Kimmel’s mom went to be with the Lord. The Warners expect their third child to come in July! Pray for Kimberly and the pregnancy.
                The Barry Farlow family, in Brazil, serving with Baptist Mid-Missions See: www.thefarlows.com  Their Church celebrated its 35th anniversary. The oldest Farlow boy was baptized that day! One of the graduates who has been in Barry’s classes after graduating is heading on to Argentina as a missionary. Brazilians can enter that country so much easier than an American. Pray for Adriano and Josi, that they can raise their support and be the first Brazilian missionaries to go to Argentina!

The Boyds, missionaries to Colombia with ABWE, now on furlough Visit: www.BoydHome.com   The Boyds plan to return to Colombia in January. Pray that the needed $300 additional support will be pledged before the family leaves.

George and Dottie Hatfield, Campus Ministries at ISU in Ames Visit: http://ghatfield.ebm.org Pray that John and Marissa Sharbaugh will see their support come in quickly. They have sold their home and are staying with relatives. Pray God will raise up their support very quickly. Pray for all the students touched by the Campus Ministries. Pray for new contacts among second semester students. Pray for Dottie. Six Bible studies and an English conversation group demand much preparation each week.

Besides beginning to work at the building site in Geneseo, NY, the Woosters presented their ministry to 32 Churches this year. Pray for a safe trip as they fly home to IA for Christmas.

The Phillips Family, Team Church Planters in Chicagoland with Baptist Church Planters. Visit www.phillips5.net  Over 60 attended the Thanksgiving Praise Service. Four families from the English as a Second Language were there. God is providing for them and blessing the minsistry!
Mark and Leslie Boyd and family, Missionaries to Germany Daughter, Sophia, accepted Christ as her Savior. The family is experiencing colds and the flu. Mark will speak at two retreats over Christmas break. Pray for him. Continue to pray for the right place for the Church plant that the Boyds will be undertaking during this next year. God knows where they should be headed.

David and Patti West, Gospel Mission of S.A., anticipating “training nationals in Argentina and Chile. Before Dave, Mike, and Steve flew to Buenos Aires, the Wests were participants in a mission’s conference in FL. Support level has jumped to 25%! They are thankful to their prayer support team that has been a great part of this. Twenty-five of the 100 participants they hoped for have joined, praying regularly/daily for the Wests to arrive at full support. (Contact them if you will be part of this team. The Tylavskys – Church Planters with CBM Their plans are to work with veteran church planters Jeff and Deb Minniear. It looks as though the site where the team will initiate the church  plant is going to be a Maryland suburb of Washington, DC. Financial support is still needed. Keep praying.
Joy Akkermann with Baptist Mid-Missions headed to the jungles of Peru Her support is at 65%. She is renewing her passport and hopes to apply for a visa after the holidays. Joy will take a Spanish proficiency test to cut back on the time required in language school. She is on the road each weekend. Pray for safe travels to the Churches.
The Campbell family with ABWE headed to Cumbaya, Equador (www.campbellfamily-ecuador.com) have found they may be going to Guayaquil! It is a city on the coast with 2 million + people. The missionaries who the Campbells are to work with are having to change locations due to the health of the missionary wife, so pray with them about this possible change in their plans.
Mark, Anahi, and Sophia Self, serving in Argentina An excellent property has been found. It is in an ideal area in which to establish a Church. Two lots are connected. A building already there can be used for Bible Studies. The price is right. Funds in the amount of $65,342. are still needed. Money is coming in since our last report. Keep praying! The Selfs will be with both their families this Christmas for the first time in 7 years!

Pray for FBBC and Seminary students on Semester break, Joe Hayes’ health issues and Pastor Capon, State GARBC Rep., the need of a new president for Faith,  the online Bible study for kids at www.iToadU.com , Shepherd’s Home, Alpha Women’s Center, our KJAN Radio Broadcast and our website: www.fbcbrayton.org , IARBC statewide ministries, Baptist Children’s Home Ministries,  and Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh ( The latest? Go to http://mchrenewalproject.blogspot.com )  Pray for the Jews. Pray for Israel. Pray for our Ladies Bible Study! Pray for Men’s Prayer Breakfasts! Pray for the winter camp ministry at Clear Lake, and that we will see those who need the Lord in our own neighborhoods! Pray for Patch Club and Compass!
