Virgil and Dolores Bunjer, retired missionaries from Germany and living in Ankeny, IA, helping minister to senior missionaries for Baptist Mid-Missions. Dolores has been told that her injections in her eye are not helping. Dr. is seeking to find a way to stop the deterioration of the retina in the right eye. Urgent prayer request from the IngolstadtChurch as a young couple is being visited by authorities charging them with physical punishment which is being blamed on the teachings of the Church. The couple wants to be part of the new Church plant in Eichstaett!

Ron and Kathleen Weber — reporting to their Churches and then starting a “retiring” short-term missions ministry, after starting 11 strong Churches with ABWE in Brazil — Their journeys of the summer covered 12,640 miles. There is one supporting Church in the East left to visit. Ron had a good check-up at the Dr. Therapy will start for the tendonitis in his left shoulder. Because of the need for therapy, meetings in Sept. and the trip to Brazil in Oct. will not happen. Ron was diagnosed with leukemia, but he is stable at this point and is to have another complete physical in the spring. James liked his time at Shepherd’s Home, and will get to spend a month there before being accepted there. Pray for Ron as he finishes his book: Trials of Faith.

Solangeaccepted Jesus as Savior. Pray for the entire Ramirez family to come to Christ. And Pray for unsaved Peruvian neighbors Carlos and Lourdes who have been going to Church. Eight-year-old Evelyn from another Church the Frerichs served in has had to have both legs amputated to prevent her cancer from spreading.

The soccer area behind the church is nearly done. Pray for the need for missionaries to train the pastors and Church leaders. As less missionaries come, the Brazilian Churches greatly need more training of those who teach them. Pray for this need. Pray for Ellen as she starts a Bible study with a lady from the Church.

Pat and Bonnie Ryal medical missionaries to Nicaragua with ABWE Dr. Ryal is to have scans on Sept. 24th and surgery on the 25th. Pray that there will be no need for further chemos. Pray for a mild winter for one of the drugs causes extreme cold sensitivity and nerves could have permanent damage!

Mark and Leslie Boyd and family, Missionaries to Germany – The Wed. night’s childrens’ program was a good thing. The family should have their residency appointment by now. (They expected no difficulties with this.) The building is coming along on schedule, and furniture is making it usable.

David and Patti West, Gospel Mission of S.A., anticipating “training nationals in Argentina and Chile” The family continues to visit and re-visit Churches. They were active in a WI VBS. They praise the Lord for safe travels, that their support meets weekly needs, and that the Oct. trip to Argentina for Dave, Mike, and Steve is going to happen. Pray for the Nov. schedule – 2 empty spots. Also, they are filling in next spring’s schedule.

Joy Akkermann with Baptist Mid-Missions headed to the jungles of Peru Joy is so excited. Her support is at 61.2%, and she is attending the Launch Seminar Sept. 16-19. She also enrolled for a 2-week medical course. If she has 100% support by March, she can leave for Peru following the course!

Mark, Anahi, and Sophia Self, on their way to Argentina – Youth Camp was a blessing. The young people heard 10 messages. Pray that they will be faithful to the decisions they made that week. Sophia started school, and everyone speaks Spanish. This is new for her! The first steps are underway for planting the Pacheco Church. Keep praying.

Pray for FBBC and Seminary students as they study in school and work at jobs, Joe Hayes’ health issues and Pastor Capon, State GARBC Rep., the need of a new president for Faith, the online Bible study for kids at www.iToadU.com , Shepherd’s Home, Alpha Women’s Center, our KJAN Radio Broadcast and our website: www.fbcbrayton.org , IARBC statewide ministries, Baptist Children’s Home Ministries, and Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh (60 beds to go smoothly through customs, a final decision on the railroad right of way, safety for workers on the hospital construction, more doctors, nurses, and a project manager to finish the building.
