Take Time Today to Pray!

Prayer is Your Missionaries Greatest Need! March, 2014

Our retired missionaries

Virgil and Dolores Bunjer, retired from Germany and living in Ankeny, IA, helping minister to Senior missionaries for Baptist Mid-Missions.  Their son in KC, MO is having a similar experience with health that he had in Lithuania when under a lot of stress. He has several responsibilities, including ChristianSchool teacher, and these seem to have triggered his old problem. Dolores has had good reports since her TIAs. In April, Bro. Bunjer will know whether his heartbeat has responded to the meds. Pray for Willi and Heidi as they present their call to German missions to various churches.

Louis  Miller, retired builder, living at Manning needs our prayers and encouragement. To contact him: c/o The Manning Plaza, 410 Main St.Manning, IA51455, or e-mail plazaresident@mrhcia.com , and put in the subject line: Louis Miller.

There is a new vitality for which Bonnie praises the Lord. She recently started helping a sister Church about 20 min. away. They are a loving group of folks to work with. She continues to use her talents on the mission field!

Missionaries We Support Financially and with Prayer

Norman and Susan Smith family now back in Japan, seeking to build bridges to individuals and establish Churches–                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               www.smithlife.net  They have moved to: 1160-13 Kyokushi-fumoto, Kikuchi, Kumamoto-ken 869-1202 JAPAN  It has been a cold winter for the Smiths also. Pray for GRIT. May 19-June 29, four individuals hope to take part in this introduction to missions. Susan has an English outreach at a café. Chloe is studying Japanese seriously and needs a conversation partner to speak to consistently. She is also learning to play guitar. Norman is discipling 2 men. Masa is meeting with Norman and needs to accept the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior. The Smith family has become a musical group (Salt7) and have their first concert this month. Christians will be bringing unsaved friends to the local tea house to hear the music. Valuable individual conversations should develop from this. The Smiths hope for 20 unsaved individuals to attend. Cameron is playing ukulele! The family will sing Gospel and Blue Grass.

Darrel and Lori  Jingst, EBI (Spanish Literature Publication) in Sebring, FL God has provided a new pallet jack and hole punch when the old ones broke down. The staff has been working very hard. In April the annual planning will occur. “Please continue to pray for the work of EBI.”

Mike and Peggy Carr, Missionary Builders with CBM, now at the Cantonment, FL project. They are now located at Cantonment, FL and working on a new auditorium  for Gulf Coast Baptist in late Feb. or early Mar. Their 13 yr. old trailer needs major work, or they need to replace it. Brad and Marie Hansen and family, BaptistChurch Planters, Bussey, IA Pray for Brad and Marie as they go March 19th to “School” in Grafton, Ohio. Their expenses will be between $600 and $700. Pray that the funds for this needed missionary training have been provided.

Dennis and Peggy Robinson, CBM, Missionary Builders

Ron and Kathleen Weber —  reporting to their Churches and then starting a “retiring” short-term missions ministry, after starting 11 strong Churches with ABWE in BrazilThe Webers are having meetings each weekend, and in April and May they will add more meetings. In June they begin a 3 month trip by car to CA and then the Midwest. Back to NJ in Sept. Check the mission’s map board to see if you would know of people near where the Webers will be traveling that would love to have this life-long missionary couple stay with them when they are in the area. Pray for the Webers’ health issues and for the cost to have treatment, fillings, etc. Continue to pray for the decisions regarding James making Shepherd’s Home his home. $2,000 a month for his support there is  going to be quite a challenge to Ron and Kathleen for they continue to see Churches dropping them since they are “not on the field.” Some just fail to understand that the Webers are still “missionaries.”

He is being treated as he continues to work in printing. Cathy has a burden for single moms and girls in Jamaica. She is basing training these women on the Bible Study Lessons printed at Source of Light Ministries. They would then be taught business skills in sewing and cooking and jewelry making so as to avoid having to “do anything” to survive and then going from one man to another, perpetuating the problem.
