Missions’ Prayer Sheet for October 2013‏

Take Time Today to Pray!

Prayer is Your Missionaries Greatest Need! October, 2013

Our Retired Missionaries – several of them still get some financial support from our Church

Virgil and Dolores Bunjer, Baptist Mid-Missions, now living at Ottumwa, IA, (former German Church Planters, now ministering to missionary retirees) Quite unexpectedly, Virgil  found out from his Dr. that he has an irregular heart beat. Testing has been ongoing Pray with them, that it isn’t anything too major and that they can move to their Ankeny apartment on schedule. Their first great-granddaughter arrived recently. Regarding Germany, praise God that Frank K’s badly broken ankle is healing well even as he continued ministry responsibilities. The Skinners, missionaries, have been back to the U.S. going to Bible Colleges with the need for more missionaries to go to Germany. Good interest has been shown. Praise the Lord that Linda Skinner’s mom is responding well to chemo treatment.

Louis  Miller, retired builder, living at Manning needs our prayers and encouragement. To contact him: c/o The Manning Plaza, 410 Main St. Manning, IA 51455, or e-mail plazaresident@mrhcia.com , and put in the subject line: Louis Miller.

It is 25 minutes outside of Kikuyo. It will be developed as a retreat and training center. Besides his art, Norman is riding a Harley Sportster (Praise God for this provision for an outreach to bikers.) He hopes to have Biker BBQ’s at the new property site. Susan has met with Mrs. K who is 72 and has to yet understand and believe the Gospel. Pray for several who occasionally attend Bible Study on Sunday evenings. Pray for Keiko. (She came with the Smiths to the U.S.) She seems to be falling into depression.

Darrel, Lori, Stephanie, and Stacy Jingst, EBI (Spanish Literature Publication) in Sebring, FL

Mike and Peggy Carr, Missionary Builders at work in MI at CBM’s home office, now located at the Pueblo West, CO project. Peggy was sidelined in FL as Mike went to the CBM family conference. Her mom in FL had back surgery. He dad stopped cancer treatment and has gone into hospice care. Things appear to be off to a great start in CO. An addition to the auditorium is planned, as well as building more classrooms and restrooms. Julie is expecting the Carr’s second child in mid-Nov. Pray for a safe arrival.

Pray for the Hansen sons at FBBC.

Dennis and Peggy Robinson, CBM, Missionary Builders, If you haven’t done so, read Dennis’ book that gives his testimony of how God worked in his life and gave him the call to ministry. (Several folks in the Church purchased a copy and would likely be happy to let you read theirs!)

Ron and Kathleen Weber soon to be reporting to their Churches and the “retiring” after starting 11 Churches with ABWE in Brazil –  The Webers notice the fall temps. 85 to 90 degrees has been their temperature range for some 40 years! Although most of the Weber’s medical check-ups have ended with good news or problems fixed, Ron has been told he has two secondary arteries blocked. Expensive medicine to take now! They request prayer for Pastor Medeiros “as he is still learning to adapt to new situations.” The Webers plan to take James to Shepherd’s Home in Jan. to visit a week. They want him to become more independent. The Mission Agency has approved the Webers as substitute missionaries on English-speaking or Portuguese-speaking countries. They are scheduled for 5 months of meetings in Brazil April – August 2015, going to Churches, schools, conferences, camps, and seminaries. Ron is currently writing about their experiences as missionaries to Brazil.
