                Virgil and Dolores Bunjer, Baptist Mid-Missions, now living at Ottumwa, IA, (former GermanChurch Planters, now ministering to missionary retirees) The Bunjer’s daughter has been helping her folks pack for their move to Ankeny. The apartment is progressing nicely, and moving day is getting closer! A German missionary pastor recently was at FaithBaptistBibleCollege recruiting students. Pray some young folks will be burdened for the German people.

                Joan Nichols, living in Ankeny, formerly serving in Latin America She sends “God’s blessings” our way. It was a joy for her to get to attend Baptist Mid-Missions annual conference. Pray for a Bible Study that she and a neighbor have started. They hope to reach the neighborhood for Christ. Pray for a painter who did some painting. Joan shared the Gospel with him.

Missionaries We Support Financially and with Prayer 

                Norman and Susan Smith family now back in Japan, seeking to build bridges to individuals and establish Churches–                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               www.smithlife.net  They are in the process of reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. Pray for Mr. Serikawa who has been studying the Bible with Norman. Pray for Ryuma, a musician. He has had bad experiences with “Christians” in the past. Susan is having English conversation class and has been meeting with the women. Pray for Keiko. She remains faithful. There will be a GRIT program next year. Pray that a property can be purchased. Housing the summer program has been the problem, but it would be solved if the details can be worked out to procure land.

Praise the Lord for safety all the way. Pray for Dan as he has upcoming teaching responsibilities and Peggy as she is teaching a Ladies’ Bible Class in the Church they attend in Kansas City. Pray for their son, David. He has permanent damage from CO poisoning, but the hope is that some treatment can be found to ease his dehabilitating symptoms.

                Ron and Kathleen Weber soon to be reporting to their Churches and the “retiring” after starting 11 Churches with ABWE in Brazil The Webers continue to visit their supporting Churches. They have been visiting shut-ins and the elderly near their home. Ron recently thrilled as his former elementary school principal (now 99) accept the Lord as Savior. It has been exciting for them to keep close contact with the Brazilian believers! Five of the ten Churches they helped to establish have each reproduced another congregation! $2500 is still needed to help out the young couple who gave up secular jobs to work only in the Church. After this runs out, the Church plans to be able to support them.

                Stephen and Cathy King temporarily serving in the printing ministry as they anticipate going to Scotland  Stephen has less than a month to go with his chemo treatments. Everything looks very good in his scans and labs thus far. They plan to visit supporting Churches in Nov. and Dec. Pray that Cathy will have the funds to go to Jamaica this next month. She has been asked to visit two training branches using the literature the Kings have been helping print for use in these areas. Daughter Heather had a heart attack. Now fluid is building up around her heart.                 The Barry Farlow family, in Brazil, serving with Baptist Mid-Missions See: www.thefarlows.com  The children are back in homeschool, and Barry is starting another on-line class. They are working on paying the $5000 deductible on the hospital bills for Mark. Praise Got that the Dr. here has found a pediatric endocrinologist for Mark in Curitiba – through a Brazilian who works in the Dr.’s office!.

The Boyds to Colombia with ABWEVisit: www.BoydHome.com All that remains for the Church plant to be recognized as a legal entity is for the government to send its recognition papers! Pray fo Oscar who is being trained by Alfredo to do the youth ministry. Also musicians are in short supply even as the Boyds face furlough. Pray God will use Isaias and that more musicians will be raised up for service. Pray for Marcos and Jason. These two Boyd children are continuing to have some difficulties.

George and Dottie Hatfield, Campus Ministries at ISU in AmesVisit: http://ghatfield.ebm.org – 65 individuals attended the picnic this month. One student made a profession of faith. Pray for the international students and for the student leaders working with them along with the Hatfields. The year is off to an exciting start.

Rhonda Green, RN, Micronesian Medical Missions, Baptist Mid-Missions, Guam This summer’s clinic on Chuuk and surrounding islands was very successful. Rhonda was also part of a one-day dental clinic. The team was encouraged as they encouraged the believers working on the islands. Summer camp saw many kids making professions of faith in Christ. Rhonda continues to get kids to ministries via bus, and she will teach three health classes this semester at the Institute.

Pray they reach 50% by the end of the year. $436 is needed to reach that goal! They are expecting a baby in March! Pray for them as they start their family.

Pat and Wendy Campbell, Baptist Mid-Missions, Missionaries to Peru

Wesley and Sonia Chatla – International Gospel Missions, National Pastor to IndiaPrayer has been answered! Wesley’s mom is enjoying great relief from her health issues and is getting better. Pray for the Indian Bible Study Fellowship in Des Moines. The Chatlas are delighted to be part of it. Wesley plans to travel to India in December to lay the groundwork for future ministry and to see to government details with the school (and to escape cold weather J).Pray the finances for that and a new bus for the school are forthcoming. Complaints come from parents that the old bus is too crowded.

The Pembroke  Park “Family Connect” activities held this summer have been quite effective. Pray that some will as individuals visit the Church Plant after this contact with the Church folk. GreatCommissionBaptistChurch now has Sunday School for all ages!

Mark and Leslie Boyd and family, Missionaries to GermanyMark traveled with the team to Transnistria. Pray that the van that got “crunched” on the trip back by another individual can be brought back so that the other driver’s insurance will pay up. Praise God that no one was injured! Natalie’s hearing has returned to normal. All is back to a normal school year’s schedule.

John and Bev Leonard, Baptist Mid-Missions, in Brazil Check out: www.prayforjohn.com John’s quadriplegic friend is a changed man after accepting the Lord. Even nurses and helpers in the home where he stays are receptive to the Word now. Pray for the roof of the church building. It leaks, so the idea is to put a roof on it that can be raised to the top of the second story when it comes time to build a second story. Pray for a couple, recently saved: Juarez and Antonia.

David and Patti West, Gospel Mission of S.A., anticipating “training nationals in Argentina and Chile Pray for travel health. Various things seem to pop up on the road, and they aren’t sure whether to see a Dr. or wait until they return home. They will be in the East through October.

The Tylavskys – Church Planters with CBM  Mark has a part-time job, and Jennifer and the kids are back at school. Pray for them as they travel to various churches across IA  to present their burden for missions. Pray they can reach 50% of their needed support by May 2014. Mark needs to take module classes at FBBC. This requires finances.

Joy Akkermann with Baptist Mid-Missions headed to the jungles of Peru She needs to reach 60% of her support by Jan. 1. She is at 45.5% now. She will be traveling around IA this next month. (Oct. 6 and 7 at GuthrieCenter!)

Pray for FBBC and Seminary students as they learn, the online Bible study for kids at www.iToadU.com , Shepherd’s Home, Alpha Women’s Center, our KJAN Radio Broadcast and our website: www.fbcbrayton.org , IARBC statewide ministries, Baptist Children’s Home Ministries, and Memorial Christian Hospital in Bangladesh. Pray for  IRBC. Pray for the Jews. Pray for Israel! Pray for our Patch Club and Compass. Pray for our Ladies Bible Study and Men’s Prayer Breakfasts! Don’t stop praying!
